Homemade Christmas Wreaths

Originally reported for NCC News on November 30, 2010.

The Beaver Lake Nature Center in Baldwinsville hosted a Christmas wreath-making event for 30 participants on Tuesday.

Many of the participants billed the event as "family night out" and attended with close friends, neighbors, or family members. Attendees ranged from 12 to 80-years-old.

"It's fun to do it every year," said Noah Nobly, 12, who came to the event for his fourth time.

His older cousin, Greg Collins, 17, said this year's wreath "looks better than it did last year."

Other guests included a group of neighbors from Baldwinsville that claimed they were in the Witness Protection Program. In reality, they said they simply did not want to divulge their last names. The ring leader, "Michelle", said she attended last year and received plenty of compliments from her neighbors, which is why she brought them this year.

"It's very easy to do and lots of fun," she said.
