Organically Hip
There is a new type of business making its first appearance at the Pride of New York Harvestfest at the New York State Fairgrounds.
Two years ago when Angela Murphy and Maria Euceda packed their kids off to their first day of school they decided to sell baked good and homemade vanilla extract at the regional farmers market. After six months their business grew to what is now known as Organically Hip.
Organically Hip specializes in premade cookie mixes made completely with locally acquired organic ingredients. They also offer a microwavable brownie mix for the college students, a pecan waffle mix, and a variety of gluten-free mixes as well. Maria said "the concept is bringing convenience to home aid and quality to convenience."
Angela and Maria juggle the responsibilities of being mothers and running a business. Angela told us "Its been very tough but it is great, we get to set our own schedules."
Organically Hip will also be present at the Albany Harvestfest and can be found in a variety of stores spread across three states.
